Gabby Wren Review

Gabby Wren Cloth Diapers

recently a friend of mine has started making cloth diapers and I was lucky enough to be a tester.I received my diaper and prepped it right away! I mean, who wouldn't.We all love new fluff.Right?RIGHT?!?Okay,Okay. Maybe I am a little crazier than some, but I am not as crazy as others. So that makes it all ok.
I opened the package and was too excited to see a bright blue bird print with a super soft minky interior.Squee! After prepping (washing and drying) I used it right away. She was in her diaper for about 3 hours and did not leak at all!I did use a Blueberry insert since the pocket did not come with an insert. The fit was amazing and did a great job keeping everything in place.

See how trim it is?I love it and will be using this thing until she out grows it! Also the pocket is not the normal front or back stuff pocket. It is a split pocket. The inside is split down the center and you open it to lay an insert it. I love that!

Please check them out and let her know that Jenna sent you!

Kissaluvs,Monkey Snuggles,Blueberry,Sunbaby

I haven't added reviews lately, sorry! So here we go!
(I will add pictures later)

Kissaluv sized fitteds:

I did not like these at first. I tried it again now that she is about 2lbs bigger and I get a much better fit. I still have to use a cover at all times. It is not the type of fitted you can leave coverless but it works pretty well.

Kissaluv Marvels OS fitteds:

Again, even though this one is a one size diaper I can't get a good fit. It has side snaps, but no snaps down the front to change the rise. They are really cute though. I can leave her in it about 45+ minutes before having to put a cover on her.Maybe when she is older this will fit her better.

Monkey Snuggles fitteds:

I have nothing but love for my MS fitteds! They snap to fit trim, they are very absorbent, they are so super stinking cute.AND she can go for 2+ hours before needing a cover or change.I will be adding more of these to my stash!

Blueberry pocket:

These are a little more bulky than what I prefer,BUT they work very well. They come in great colors and prints and contain whatever comes their way! I would like to add a couple more to my stash.Blueberry also offer regular diapers and minky, which is a soft outer shell almost fur like.

SunBaby pocket:

I actually got one of these from a trade. I didn't expect much since they are only about $6ish on ebay. This has become one of the first diapers I go to. I really like it!Granted the print is some super creepy and very ugly unicorns.By unicorns I don't mean normal unicorns. I mean creepy unicorn people.Ha!Ha!Really though, the thing works wonders and it is one of the few diapers that does not leave red marks all over her legs!

Ok. I will add pictures, prices and links very soon!

Choices,choices..

There are so many types of diapers now. When I first considered cloth diapering I assumed it would be like it used to, pins and rubber pants.I still wanted to do it.I finally started doing my research and you don't HAVE to have pins and rubber pants!?! I mean really? When did they become so easy? So here you go, these are the different types so you can figure out what is best for you!

Pockets:
These are some of my favorites.A pocket is like a diaper cover with a lining inside. The lining actually has a pocket in it that you can stuff inserts into. The two best things about pockets are you can stuff them to the absorbency that you want them to be,and if you hate a certain insert or want to use a natural fiber you can switch it out. Also they dry MUCH faster than the AIO.The whole diaper needs to be changed each changing.

AIO (All in one):
A lot of people have mad love for the AIO.I don't.But that's just me.It is a very easy diaper.Closest to a disposable that there is.There is no stuffing or inserts. You just take a diaper, put it on,when it is wet or soiled you remove it and put another one on.They con about this is it takes what seems like FOREVER (in my best sandlot voice) to dry.And you cannot choose how much absorbency you want.

A12 (All in two):
This is the hybrid system. You snap an insert into a cover and change the insert only with each change unless soiled. This is my favorite. It's easy, quick and takes up less room in the diaper bag.

Diaper cover or wrap:
This is a cover that will go over either a prefold or a fitted.Usually made from PUL so it is water resistant.

Fitted:
This is a diaper that requires a cover. They usually have velcros or snaps, but some need "Snappis" or pins.Sometimes this can go without a cover for an hour or two to help let the baby "air out"

Prefolds:
This is a flat piece of material that can be folded many ways to  go under a diaper cover. They come in different sizes and several materials.Depending on the fold you choose you may need either "snappis" or pins. These also works great as a doubler in a pocket diaper.

(more to come...)
